Allen has been involved with backflow issues for over 25 years. In his early years Allen implemented a program for the utility he worked for. Currently, Allen is a co-owner of Backflow Assembly Testing & Supply LLC, which provides service in the form of testing, surveys, tester certification/recertification training both for Idaho testers and ABPA testers. A certified tester working in three states testing, troubleshooting, and repairing valves. He has the experience of many years working in the field.
Allen also owns and operated Wilder System Solutions, a company that offers water/wastewater operator for hire, consultation, and services for water and wastewater systems. This allows him the view of both sides of the fence when it comes to the world of backflow prevention. Offering advice and training to water systems is something Allen does on a regular basis, very often at no cost to these systems.
Allen serves as director at large for the Idaho Chapter of ABPA. Allen represents and promotes the chapter and ABPA everywhere he goes. Allen believes that there is much work to be done in the form of education and communication when it comes to backflow prevention and cross connection control. Promoting working together as a way to achieve safe drinking water.
Allen is a very proud dad to two grown sons and their wives, a puppet to four grandkids and partner in both work and life to Leslie.
